HLBS is funded via an annual operational budget of the European
Commission, as well as - thanks to the tireless efforts of
Professor Günther Bonn - both Tyrolean and Austrian Government
organizations. In addition to these seed funds, the laboratory
also plans to attract major grants from the EU and sign research
contracts with industry to combine basic academic research
with focused, goal oriented pharma and bioindustrial projects.
