Ágnes Szilágyi

Is an associate of the Horváth Laboratory of Bioseparation Sciences (HLBS) at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. Her main research topic is the examination of polymorphic regions in the human genom. Ms. Szilagyi graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University , Faculty of Science ( Hungary ) in molecular biology and made her PhD studies at the Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology Doctorial Program of Semmelweis University ( Hungary ). She worked for the Department of Medical Chemistry, Molecular Biology and Pathobiochemistry, Semmelweis University studying the genetic background of drug abuse and pediatric migraine. She has also participated in the development of new methods for the quantification of complement C4 gene in the MHC region applying real-time PCR and capillary electrophoresis techniques.
