László Székely is currently working at Solvias AG a pharmaceutical service company “the former scientific competence centre of Novartis” in Basel .
He was a visiting scientist in the recently formed Horváth Laboratory of Bioseparation Sciences (HLBS) at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. His aim during his short stay at HLBS was to establish the base of microfluidics techniques for genomics, proteomics and metabolomics based biomarker discovery. Before joining the HLBS, Dr. Székely worked in the bio separation group of the Ecole Polytechnique Féderale de Lausanne in the field of microchip based bioanalytical techniques for pharmaceutical and clinical applications, where he also received his Ph.D. Dr. Székely graduated from the Veszprem University (Hungary) in environmental engineering, during his study he already worked for several research institutes on international projects.
