Tibor Chovan is an associate professor in the Department of Process Engineering at Pannonia University ( Veszprém , Hungary ) . His research and academic activities cover mathematical modeling, simulation and process control by applying computer aided process engineering methods and tools. Recently his research interest has extended to the potentials of microfluidic devices and the relevant simulation techniques. He received M. Eng., Dr. Univ. and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Pannonia University and an M.S.Che. degree from the University of Akron . He was a visiting scientist at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (The Netherland), at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya ( Barcelona , Spain ) and at the Torrey Mesa Research Institute ( San Diego , CA ).
